All our screens are made of 14 GA Mild Steel which is much thicker than a screen you get from a box store. We back our screens with an 8 x 8 mesh, 0.028" wire that is perfect for fire safety and visually beneficial so you can enjoy the beauty of the fire. We weld our inset panels to 1" x 1/2" x 0.063" rect. tubing that is formed to match the contour. We also add support feet on the outer base to protect from tip-overs when tending the fire. These screens are built to order and can be customized to suit your fireplace opening at no extra charge.
